I mainly not like any other collection of Shri Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1964) sir's poetry, drama, music, novels etc too much rather than our NATIONAL ANTHEM " JANA GANA MANA" which was written by him. I still remember when I was a school kid I participated in many school events of other schools.
They do morning prayer which I can't sung because of different school but when The national anthem starts we all starts singing it loudly. It is common everywhere. I always feel extremely excited. what's the reason of having same national anthem although we have different school prayers? I always wants to know about this and now I know prayers are for schools but National Anthem is for whole nation. Thank you Shri Rabindranath Tagore sir for giving such a wonderful soul touching National Anthem.

• IN 1901, RABINDRANATH TAGORE moved to SHANTINIKETAN. He  found an ashram with a marble floored prayer hall. 

• His wife and 2 childrens died in 1901. 

• His father also passed away in 1905. 

• He published his NAIVEDYA (1901) and KHEYA (1906) translated into free verse. 

GITANJALI: song offerings

• Win NOBEL PRIZE IN LITERACY (1913) because of His famous Novel "GITANJALI: SONG OFFERINGS". 

• AWARDED WITH KNIGHTHOOD TITLE by KING GORGE V in 1915 for his birthday honours, but he returned it in 1919 because of the incident of "JALIANWALA BAAGH HATYAKAAND" and wrote a letter to the lord Chelmsford, British viceroy of INDIA that time. 

• He mostly known for his poetry novels, essays, music, dramas etc.
